Developmental/Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) is provided to CID students to increase their gross motor skills and social/behavioral skills during physical activities. Students in the CID program receive physical education programming each day from an adapted physical education teacher. Services are individualized to each student's needs.

The process of individualizing the instruction includes selecting the environment, determining the pace of instruction, providing appropriate independent and guided practice, and modifying equipment, rules, and techniques. Many different activities are covered to improve the students’ gross motor ability, coordination, fitness, and sensory regulation. The adapted physical education teacher works in collaboration with other teachers and specialists who work with the CID students.

Below is the tentative yearly schedule. Units may change based on weather, available equipment, and class dynamics.
